Job description:
The Resident Automation Technician II supports our customer on all automation-related topics. This position requires a broad-based electrical and mechanical skillset and a proactive approach to improve the site’s performance through trouble-shooting and hands-on repair. Based at our customer site, the Resident Automation Technician II must represent the TGW image and ensure that a professional relationship with the client is developed and maintained.
This position is based at our customer site in Kansas City, KS.
Pay: $27-$32/hr
Shift: Monday – Thursday; 5:00 pm – 5:00 am
Thurs – Sun; 4:30 pm – 4 am
What you’ll be handling
- Resolve customer equipment issues as quickly and practically as possible.
- Complete work assignments and the associated work orders as assigned.
- Complete maintenance activities pertaining to the automated equipment onsite, including conveyors, cranes, shuttles, scale checks, and carton-opening systems.
- Adhere to the highest quality standards, while always ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation.
- Optimize automation efficiency and performance to ensure delivery of contracted KPIs. Interface with the customer as needed to support operations.
- Monitor and maintain the site spare parts inventory, as applicable.
What you’ll need
- High school diploma or GED required. Associate degree or Technical Certificate preferred.
- Previous experience in electrical or mechanical troubleshooting and repair of material-handling conveyors, AS/RS, and shuttle systems preferred.
- Thorough attention to detail and demonstrated problem-solving ability.
- Excellent communication skills and customer service skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, etc.).
