We are looking for a Human Resources Assistant that will provide administrative support to the HR department, with a primary focus on managing employee certifications and ensuring compliance with organizational requirements. This role is responsible for tracking, collecting, auditing, and maintaining certification records while communicating with employees regarding certification status, renewals, and documentation. The HR Assistant also supports the HR team with various administrative tasks and special projects.
This a part-time. Previous experience in administration is preferred. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Collect, organize, and maintain employee certification records.
- Audit certification files to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor certification expiration dates and notify employees of upcoming renewals.
- Communicate with employees to obtain missing or updated certification documentation.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records in HR systems.
- Prepare reports on certification compliance and renewal status.
- Assist with onboarding by verifying required certifications and documentation.
- Provide administrative support to the HR department, including filing, data entry, and document management.
- Assist with HR initiatives, special projects, and other duties as assigned.
- Collaborate with managers and departments to ensure certification requirements are met.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Previous administrative or HR experience preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR information systems.
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Strong time management and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
