Part-time office assistant. Must be detail oriented, great proofreader and able to follow instructions. You will be preparing documents from templates, proofreading, scanning, copying and printing documents. Our office is a Windows-based office. Applicants must have strong proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Word for Windows and Adobe Acrobat. If your computer experience is primarily Mac-based and you would need basic training in Windows, this position is probably not the right fit. Our office is on Harmony Road in South Fort Collins. Flexible Schedule Monday - Thursday daytime.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and revise documents using established templates
- Proofread for names, addresses, formatting, and consistency
- Correct routine clerical and typographical errors
- Identify issues that require attorney review rather than guessing
- Follow written instructions, checklists, and office procedures
- Print, copy, scan, and organize documents
- Create, rename, combine, and organize PDFs
- Maintain organized electronic client files
- Communicate when assignments are completed or clarification is needed
Required Skills
- Strong Microsoft Windows skills, including File Explorer and file management
- Strong Microsoft Word skills, including formatting, Find and Replace, headers/footers, page breaks, tables, and Track Changes
- Adobe Acrobat/PDF skills
- Excellent proofreading and attention to detail
- Ability to follow instructions and established procedures
- Ability to work independently and accurately
- Comfortable handling confidential client information
Prior legal experience is not required. Strong computer skills, proofreading ability, organization, accuracy, and willingness to follow procedures are important.
Candidates selected for an interview may be asked to complete a short 15–20 minute hands-on Windows and Word skills assessment.
