Sign-On Bonus
This position is eligible for a $1,500 Sign-On Bonus. The bonus will be paid in two installments:$750 after 90 days of continuous employment$750 after 6 months of continuous employmentTo be eligible for each payment, the employee must be actively employed and in good standing on the applicable payout date. Applicable taxes and withholdings will be deducted from each payment.
Job Summary:
Operates heavy mobile equipment specific to scrap operations area to include a mobile crane with a hydraulic grapple or front end loader to process, handle, and weigh scrap material. Unload scrap material from incoming sources and load scrap from existing piles onto transport or non-ferrous processing equipment.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Exercises extreme care in picking up and transporting loads, clearing obstacles and properly positioning lifts to prevent production delays, damage to equipment or property and/or injury to others. Maintains heightened awareness of surroundings at all times to include pedestrians, mobile equipment, rail traffic, etc.
Inspect scrap for any non-conforming material for quality, grade, and safety purposes. This inspection process is critical to the operation and requires continuous attention in order to avoid errors and equipment damage.
Additional Responsibilities:
1-3 years of mobile equipment experience is preferred.
Ability to climb stairs, climb ladders, reach, squat, tolerate prolonged standing/walking, balance, bend, operate mobile equipment, crawl, kneel, and push and pull objects.
