Job Overview
This is a fulltime position and we can talk more about hours etc. We will need hours in the evening during the week (4-8 PM daily) and fulltime on the weekends.
This position is for my 17 years old Autistic son. He is independent , can talk and don't have any physical disability. He has Autism and random aggression sometimes.
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Helper to support a young individual with special needs. This vital role involves providing personalized care, assisting with daily activities, and creating a safe, nurturing environment that promotes growth and independence. The ideal candidate will bring patience, enthusiasm, and a proactive attitude to help enhance the quality of life for our client. Duties
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene. My son is independent and only need prompting in this.
- Support with meal preparation and feeding, ensuring nutritional needs are met
- Engage in therapeutic activities tailored to developmental or neurodevelopmental disabilities, including autism.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning and organization of living spaces
- Support medication administration.
- Provide transportation assistance for appointments, community outings, or errands as needed
- Communicate effectively with family member.
Experience
Candidates should have prior experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs, including developmental disabilities, intellectual disabilities, or neurodevelopmental disorders. Experience in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health settings is highly valued. The role requires patience, strong communication skills, and the ability to adapt to each individual’s unique needs while providing compassionate support in a respectful manner.
Pay: $4,000.00 per month
