Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Assembly Technician to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling mechanical components and systems with precision and efficiency, ensuring that all products meet quality standards and technical specifications. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, proficiency with hand tools and power tools, and the ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics. Duties
- Assemble mechanical components using hand tools, power tools, pneumatic tools, and specialized industrial equipment.
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and mechanical blueprints to ensure accurate assembly.
- Measure parts with precision instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other measurement tools to verify specifications.
- Fabricate or modify parts as needed through machining, welding, soldering, or fabrication techniques.
- Conduct quality inspections during assembly using precision measuring instruments to ensure adherence to specifications.
- Use forklift or other warehouse equipment for material handling and component movement within the workspace.
- Follow safety protocols by properly utilizing personal protective equipment (PPE) during all assembly activities.
- Assist in troubleshooting mechanical issues and suggest improvements for assembly processes.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency.
Experience
- Proven experience in manufacturing or industrial assembly roles with a focus on mechanical systems.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and mechanical blueprints.
- Hands-on experience with mechanical assembly involving hand tools, power tools, pneumatic tools, welding, soldering, and fabrication.
- Familiarity with precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes including machining, welding, soldering, and fabricating metal or plastic parts.
- Warehouse experience is advantageous for material handling tasks.
- Ability to operate forklifts or similar equipment is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail.
- Understanding of safety standards related to industrial assembly environments and PPE use.
