We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and energetic Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide essential care and support to individuals with diverse needs in our Cokato home.
We are currently hiring for full-time daytime/evening hours including rotating weekends.

Duties
- Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and dignity
- Monitor residents' health and behavior, reporting any changes to necessary healthcare professionals
- Support medication administration in accordance with care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure safety and compliance. Administer first aid as needed
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning to meet individual dietary needs and preferences
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties
- Assist with recreational activities and social engagements to promote well-being
- Document care activities accurately in resident records, including progress notes and incident reports, adhering to confidentiality standards
- Follow 245D licensing requirements

Requirements
- Must be 18 years old or older
- Must pass a background check
- Must have valid driver's license
- Strong-willed, self-motivated, and reliable
- Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is preferred but not required
- Ability to assist with toileting and personal hygiene
- Ability to prepare meals and assist with cooking
- Experience in cleaning and maintaining a safe living space
- Strong communication skills
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and work on your feet for extended periods
- Compassionate attitude with patience for supporting individuals through their unique needs and challenges
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
