We’re seeking enthusiastic, responsible, and safety-focused Lifeguards to join our team and help ensure a safe, enjoyable pool experience for our members and their guests this summer!
Job Summary
As a Lifeguard at Southpointe Golf Club, you will monitor the pool area, enforce safety rules, respond to emergencies, and provide excellent member service in a private, upscale club environment. This is a great opportunity for certified lifeguards looking for seasonal work in a professional, scenic setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Actively scan and supervise the pool and surrounding areas to prevent accidents and injuries
- Enforce all pool rules and club policies consistently and courteously
- Respond quickly and appropriately to emergencies, including performing rescues, administering first aid/CPR/AED as needed
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming pool environment (including light cleaning of deck, chairs, and facilities)
- Provide friendly assistance to members and guests, answering questions and ensuring a positive experience
- Assist with opening/closing procedures, chemical checks, and other daily pool operations
- Report any safety concerns or maintenance issues to the Pool Manager or supervisor promptly
Requirements
- Current American Red Cross Lifeguarding certification (or equivalent recognized certification) – required
- Current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications – required
- Strong swimming skills and ability to perform rescues in deep water
- Excellent observation skills, attention to detail, and ability to remain alert for extended periods
- Good communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable interacting with members, families, and children
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Previous lifeguard, swim instructor, or customer service experience preferred but not required
