Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Property Maintenance Technician with a specialized focus on plumbing to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting plumbing systems across our property portfolio. Your expertise will ensure that all plumbing-related issues are addressed promptly and efficiently, contributing to a safe, functional, and well-maintained environment. Duties
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, valves, and pumps.
- Diagnose and repair leaks, clogs, broken fixtures, and other plumbing issues using hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, and welding techniques.
- Read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to accurately locate and address plumbing components within complex building systems.
- Install new plumbing systems or components during remodeling or renovation projects, ensuring compliance with safety standards and building codes.
- Collaborate with construction teams on site to coordinate plumbing installations or upgrades in new builds or major remodels.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, parts used, and inspections completed.
- Assist with other handyman tasks such as carpentry, basic HVAC work, assembly of fixtures or equipment, heavy lifting of materials or equipment as needed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction plumbing and general construction site work.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics and blueprints accurately.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, pipe threading machines, welding equipment, and schematics interpretation.
- Familiarity with HVAC systems and basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in various weather conditions.
- Valid commercial driver’s license preferred for driving company vehicles to different sites.
- Prior handyman experience including remodeling or assembly work is advantageous.
