All American Lock Corporation is seeking an experienced Overhead Door and Dock Technician for full-time field service work. This position is responsible for servicing, repairing, installing, and maintaining commercial overhead doors, roll-up doors, sectional doors, grilles, gates, dock levelers, dock bumpers, dock seals, and related commercial door hardware.
The ideal candidate has strong mechanical ability, experience working with commercial door or dock systems, and a professional attitude when working with customers, dispatch, managers, and other technicians. This role is best suited for someone who can troubleshoot in the field, complete accurate repairs, document work clearly, and take pride in doing the job correctly the first time.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Service, repair, and install commercial overhead doors, roll-up doors, sectional doors, grates, grilles, and related systems.
- Service and install dock equipment, including dock levelers, dock seals, dock bumpers, and related dock parts.
- Troubleshoot door and dock issues in the field and determine the appropriate repairs or required parts.
- Perform preventive maintenance on commercial doors, docks, and related hardware.
- Work with springs, tracks, rollers, operators, hinges, cables, locks, closers, panic hardware, and other door components.
- Use hand tools, power tools, as needed.
- Read and understand work orders, service notes, basic drawings, and field instructions.
- Document repairs clearly, including work completed, parts used, part numbers, and any parts needed for return trips.
- Take clear before-and-after photos of door or dock issues and completed work.
- Communicate with dispatch, customers, managers, and team members professionally.
- Confirm doors and docks are safe, secure, functional, and operating properly before leaving the job site.
- Complete paperwork, service orders, photos, and timesheets accurately and on time.
- Maintain a clean, professional appearance while representing the company in the field.
Qualifications
- Experience with commercial overhead doors, docks, commercial doors, automatic doors, hardware, .
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, and field service work.
- Welding, metalwork, electrical, locksmithing, or general construction experience is a plus.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and work safely in field conditions.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow company procedures.
- Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced service environment.
- Clean driving record required for operating company vehicles.
- Professional attitude and strong customer service skills are required.
- English communication skills are required.

Schedule
- Full-time position
- Monday to Friday schedule
- Overtime may be available based on business needs
- On-call, weekend, holiday, or emergency service work may be required depending on customer needs
