PURPOSE OF ROLE
The Sales & Onboarding Representative provides administrative and operational support to the sales department. This position focuses on executing lead generation tasks, coordinating the technical details of the customer onboarding process, and providing ongoing support for existing B2B accounts.
This is a fully onsite position. Remote or hybrid work is not available.
Please note: This is not a traditional office-only position. While the role includes administrative and computer-based responsibilities, a significant portion of the day will be spent outside of the office and throughout the production facility. This position will regularly work with the Production and Quality teams, gather product samples, prepare and build sample boxes for customers, and, when needed, assist in the test kitchen. The ideal candidate should be comfortable transitioning between office, production, and test kitchen environments throughout the workday.
SALES SUPPORT & LEAD GENERATION
Prospecting Support: Conduct research to identify potential B2B leads (Private Label and Co-packing) based on criteria provided by management.
Initial Outreach: Execute initial contact through templated emails and follow-ups to schedule discovery calls for senior leadership.
Sales Collateral: Assist in the preparation of sales presentations, capability decks, and product sample kits for prospective clients.
Sample Coordination: Manage the sending of product samples to leads, including gathering samples from production, preparing sample boxes, coordinating shipments, tracking delivery, and recording customer feedback.
Database Maintenance: Keep the CRM or sales pipeline updated with accurate notes, contact information, and lead status.
CUSTOMER ONBOARDING COORDINATION
Information Gathering: Collect all necessary technical data from new customers, including artwork files, packaging specifications, and ingredient requirements.
Departmental Liaison: Distribute customer specifications to the Quality and Production teams for internal review and approval.
Production Support: Coordinate with production to gather product samples, confirm product details, and collect information needed for customer onboarding and sample requests.
Sample Preparation: Prepare and organize customer sample boxes, ensuring samples and supporting materials are properly labeled, packaged, and ready for shipment.
Test Kitchen Support: Assist in the test kitchen as needed with product samples, product preparation, or other customer-related projects.
Timeline Tracking: Monitor the onboarding checklist for each new customer to ensure all internal and external deadlines are met.
File Management: Maintain organized digital folders for each B2B account, ensuring the most current approved specifications are available for the plant.
CUSTOMER SERVICE & ACCOUNT MAINTENANCE
Primary Contact: Act as the first point of contact for existing B2B customers regarding order status, re-orders, and general inquiries.
Order Processing: Assist in entering B2B purchase orders into the internal system and verifying pricing and lead times.
Problem Resolution: Escalate complex customer issues to management while handling routine requests for documentation or ship dates.
Account Support: Assist with ongoing customer needs, including sample requests, product information, documentation, and communication between customers and internal departments.
WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This position requires the ability to work comfortably in multiple areas of the facility throughout the day. The Sales & Onboarding Representative should expect to regularly move between the office, production floor, storage areas, and test kitchen.
The position may include:
- Gathering product samples from the production floor.
- Preparing and building sample boxes for customers.
- Working with Production and Quality personnel to obtain product information.
- Assisting with projects or product preparation in the test kitchen.
- Walking frequently throughout the facility.
- Standing and moving for portions of the workday.
- Lifting and carrying 25–50 pounds as needed.
- Maintaining a professional and organized work environment while transitioning between administrative and hands-on responsibilities.
This role is best suited for someone who enjoys a combination of office/administrative work and hands-on, active responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Education: High School Diploma required; Associate’s degree in Business or a related field preferred.
Experience: 1–3 years of experience in an administrative support, customer service, or sales assistant role. Manufacturing or Food & Beverage experience is a plus.
Communication: Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills for B2B interactions.
Technical Skills:
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Gmail, etc.).
- Ability to create professional emails.
- Excellent spelling, grammar, and written communication skills.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
Physical & Work Environment Requirements:
- Ability to walk frequently throughout the workday.
- Ability to work in both office and production environments.
- Ability to work in a test kitchen when needed.
- Ability to lift and carry 25–50 pounds.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
