Finish Technician
The Finish Technician will be responsible for finishing and refurbishing high-end aircraft interior components, including wood veneers, leather upholstery, cabinetry, and composite parts. This role requires a strong eye for detail, exceptional craftsmanship, and the ability to work to aviation standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform finishing, touch-up, repair, and restoration of aircraft interior components.
- Apply, sand, and polish wood veneer stains, clear coats, and high-gloss finishes.
- Prepare and finish leather upholstery, including dyeing, conditioning, and minor repair work.
- Finish and detail cabinetry, paneling, trim, and composite parts to meet design specifications.
- Mix and match stains, paints, and dyes to achieve required color and grain consistency.
- Inspect completed parts for quality, accuracy, and adherence to aviation standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace in accordance with safety procedures.
- Collaborate with upholstery and production teams to ensure seamless workflow.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in aircraft interiors, high-end furniture finishing, automotive, marine, or luxury craftsmanship fields.
- Strong skills in wood veneer finishing, leather care, and high-gloss coating application.
- Knowledge of sanding, spraying, buffing, polishing, and surface preparation.
- Ability to read work orders, drawings, and finish specifications.
- High attention to detail and commitment to premium-quality workmanship.
