Overview
We are seeking a skilled Carpenter/Laborer to join our team. As a Carpenter/Laborer, you will be responsible for assisting with various construction projects and performing a wide range of tasks. This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in construction and a strong work ethic.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the construction and renovation of structures
- Measure, cut, and shape materials according to specifications
- Install and assemble various components such as doors, windows, and cabinets
- Perform basic carpentry tasks including framing, drywall installation, and finishing
- Operate power tools and hand tools safely and efficiently
- Follow blueprints, schematics, and building plans
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure project completion on time
Skills
To be successful in this role, you should have the following skills:
- 3-5 years previous verifiable finishing carpentry experience is preferred
-Valid NYS Driver License and have own transportation
- Proficiency in construction painting, masonry, plumbing, and stucco work
- Knowledge of power tools and hand tools used in carpentry
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing project requirements
- Good physical stamina and ability to lift up to 75 lbs., bending, digging, repetitive motion, and in weather related elements.
- Experience with siding installation is a plus
- Pay based on experience
