Job Summary:
The Site Superintendent is directly responsible for overseeing the operations of a construction site, from planning to completion. The Site Superintendent is responsible for daily scheduling, supervising all activities and tasks, and ensuring the safety and compliance of the site.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Duties & Responsibilities:

Responsible for the inspection of Contractor or (Sub) Contract operations to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

Maintains healthy relationships with our internal and external clients, including representatives of the client for the projects.

Develops and maintains site logistics plan, in coordination with Project Managers.

Conducts quality safety inspections.

Takes on the role of Site Safety while on the project.

Coordinates site testing and inspection efforts.
-
Monitors costs, including labor time and material.

Manages employees’ schedules.

Prepares and submits Daily Reports to the designated client representatives.

Attends and participates in all project meetings, including subcontractor meetings.

Conducts weekly safety meetings (Toolbox Talks).

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Proficient in Microsoft Office and related construction software’s.

Strong ability to read construction drawings, specifications, schedules and have strong decision-making skills.

Ability to supervise multiple trades and maintain quality control of varied government construction projects per plans and specifications provided.
Education & Experience:
-
High School Diploma or GED equivalent required, Community College, Trade School or Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.

Minimum ten (10) years’ experience in a superintendent role in commercial construction.

Experience working with the Veterans Affairs Hospitals, Federal, or on Government Projects.

Experience managing subcontractors under strict federal specifications and timelines.
-
Commissioning & startup experience (HVAC systems, generators, security systems, SCADA if applicable).
-
General Contractor (GC) License and Construction Quality Management (CQM) certification preferred.

Prior military experience preferred.
-
OSHA 30-hour certification required.
-
First Aid/CPR certification required.
Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and working on-site.

Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including exposure to heat, noise, and dust.

Manual dexterity and physical stamina for handling tools and equipment.

Travel may be required.

Work is performed on construction sites.

Exposure to external weather conditions that can include inclement, heat, and humidity.
