HOURS: 5:00am-5:00pm (shifts vary between 8-10 hours)

For this position we are looking for individuals with an exemplary attitude, one that says "Let's do this!" and greets the day with positivity. A focus on patient care is paramount. This position requires excellent interpersonal skills to fulfill the role of a Registered Nurse.
The following is required for this position:
- Registered Nurse (RN) degree
- Current State of Michigan RN license
- Current BLS certification; ACLS preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of perioperative nursing experience (ASC or surgical setting preferred)
- Strong knowledge of ambulatory surgery center regulations and accreditation standards preferred (AAAHC, CMS, OSHA, HIPAA, and infection prevention)
- Experience with quality assurance, compliance, and regulatory surveys preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to learn new software systems
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment
- A genuine interest in improving patients' quality of life
Some duties for this position:
- Circulate ophthalmic surgical procedures
- Provide pre-operative and post-operative patient care
- Review patient charts to ensure surgical readiness and regulatory compliance
- Assist with maintaining compliance with AAAHC, CMS, OSHA, HIPAA, and other applicable regulatory standards
- Support accreditation readiness and participate in survey preparation and follow-up
- Assist with quality improvement initiatives, audits, policy reviews, and performance improvement activities
- Monitor and promote infection prevention and patient safety practices
- Collaborate with physicians, leadership, and staff to maintain regulatory compliance and high-quality patient care
- Participate in staff education related to regulatory requirements and best practices as needed
