Overview
Murphy & Grantland is looking for a Junior Legal Assistant to assist the firms’ attorneys by opening cases, drafting documents, communicating with clients and other related administrative duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will play a key role in preparing legal documents and answering correspondence. Responsibilities include scheduling and maintaining the attorney calendar. Knowing how to transcript dictations and typing at a fast pace. Proficiency in Federal and/or State e-filing. Maintaining important client documentation under high confidentiality.
Minimum Qualifications
To excel in this role, you must have at least 1 year of experience as a legal assistant. Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to multi-task. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, and a willingness to learn new software are important.
*Diploma is required, a Associate’s preferred.
Physical Demands
The physical demands for this position of sitting for long periods of time, hearing long recordings, talking on the phone, repetitive motions, typing, and hand/eye coordination.
