Downtown Eyecare is seeking an Optometrist to join our busy and well-established ophthalmology practice in Brooklyn, NY. This is an excellent opportunity for a new grad to sharpen your clinical skills while working alongside an experienced team of ODs and MDs. We offer an excellent working environment and plenty of tech support and interaction with SUNY optometry students.

Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive eye exams and contact lens fittings
- Diagnose and manage ocular diseases such as glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and macular degeneration
- Provide pre- and post-operative care for surgical patients
- Collaborate with ophthalmologists and staff to coordinate patient care
- Educate patients on eye health, treatment plans, and preventative care
- Opportunity to do small in-office procedures such as: Amniotic Membrane Placement, Punctal Plugs and Lacri-fill.
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited institution
- Licensed to practice in New York State
- Strong clinical skills and ability to work in a medical/surgical setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Schedule & Compensation:
- Hours from 9am to 5pm with 1 Saturday per month
- Competitive compensation, based on experience
