Kosnoski Eye Care is a multi-location practice which has been providing the highest level of primary eye care for over 70 years.
We are looking for a friendly, efficient and detail oriented Optometric Technician. The Optometric Technician will be responsible for pre-testing all patients prior to the doctor's exam. All contact lens orders, dispensing and training will also be a part of the Optometric Technician's duties.
This position will be a floating position and will be in one of our clinics daily based on staffing needs.
Responsibilities (include, but are not limited to):
- Enter/Review patient history in patient management system
- Pre-Testing patients prior to doctor's exam
- Assist doctor when necessary
- Maintain exam rooms (supplies/cleaning)
- Training new contact lens wearing patients
- Ordering/Maintaining contact lens orders for patients and office trials
Skills:
- Extremely detail oriented
- Calm under pressure and is able to multi-task
- Experience in patient and/or customer service
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Efficient computer usage
- Timeliness - to keep the patient flow moving throughout the day
