toasted. is a local food truck serving gourmet grilled cheese within the Eastern Panhandle of WV. We do special events, weekend events, lunches, catering, and weddings.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook food items according to recipes and quality standards
- Ensure proper food handling and storage procedures are followed
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient food preparation
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Adhere to all safety and sanitation regulations
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a fry cook/line cook or in a similar role
- Knowledge of food industry best practices and culinary techniques
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Skills:
- Help: Assisting other kitchen staff with various tasks as needed.
- Catering: Experience in preparing food for large events or parties.
- Food service: Knowledge of proper serving techniques and customer service skills.
- Dietary aide: Understanding of dietary restrictions and ability to accommodate special requests.
- Food handling: Knowledge of proper food safety procedures, including temperature control and cross-contamination prevention.
- Meal preparation: Experience in efficiently preparing meals according to specified recipes or dietary guidelines.
- Cook: Proficiency in cooking techniques, including grilling, sautéing, baking, and frying.
- Food industry: Familiarity with the operations and standards of the food service industry.
- Culinary: Basic knowledge of culinary principles, techniques, and terminology.
