Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Vascular Sonographer to join our diagnostic imaging team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in vascular ultrasound imaging and cardiovascular technology, with a focus on delivering accurate diagnostic evaluations. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to patient care through advanced sonography techniques and collaborative clinical support.
Duties
- Perform vascular ultrasound examinations, including arterial and venous studies.
- Operate medical equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
- Collaborate with cardiologists.
- Utilize Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) for image storage, retrieval, and documentation of diagnostic findings.
- Conduct diagnostic evaluations related to vascular health, including Doppler studies and physiologic assessments.
- Maintain detailed records of procedures, findings, and patient information in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Stay current with advancements in cardiovascular technology, sonography practices, and relevant medical terminology.
Requirements
- Proven experience in vascular ultrasound imaging with proficiency in vascular sonography techniques.
- Knowledge of cardiac diagnostics, including echocardiography, cardiac stress tests, and cardiac rhythm analysis.
- Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology related to cardiovascular health.
- Ability to operate complex medical equipment safely while maintaining aseptic technique standards.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
- Certification as a Registered Vascular Sonographer (RVS) or equivalent credential is highly desirable.
