Farm Habit is recruiting a team member responsible for assisting the operation of our weekly, year-round markets. Help be part of the local food system by connecting local farms to local residents! Flexible dates based on need and availability. We are a very small team and looking for someone to help build our market community in Playa Vista.
Position Description
- Approximately 5 - 8 hours per market
- Starting at $17.87 per hour + $5 Market Bucks to spend at Market each week (if you arrive on time and in uniform)
- Opportunity for compensation review after working 156 hours
- Work locations: At the market (Playa Vista), would love someone with flexibility to also work in Inglewood
- Available hours: Playa Vista (Saturdays 6a - 4:30p), Inglewood (Saturdays 7a - 4p)
- Will train upon hire

- Trustworthy, FUN and hardworking people-person.
- Great attitude with can-do spirit.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
- Team player with ability to take direction and work independently.
- Reliable transportation to get to work on time.
Job Responsibilities
- Market set up and break down. Including setting up and breaking down tents, tables, chairs, and other market supplies as needed.
- On-Site Management. Remain onsite during market hours (outside, must be able to handle the elements as we are a rain or shine year-round market).
- Vendor and Customer Relations. Assist the planned market activities and communications with vendors and customers.
- Social media on the day of the market.
- Perform administrative functions on the day-of.
- Capable of lifting 40 pounds.
- Communicate and report directly to the Market Manager.
