American Traveler is hiring a first-time traveler eligible perioperative RN for a critical access hospital Operating Room position requiring Epic EMR experience and on-call availability.

Critical access hospital with 22 total staff beds
-
OR department covering all surgical areas including Pre/Post Op, Circulating, PACU, and Endoscopy in a 2-room OR
-
Surgical specialties include OB/GYN, Orthopedics, GI/General Surgery, ENT, Pain Management, and Dental
-
Patient ratios of 1:1, 1:2, or 1:4 depending on area and case type
-
Day shift schedule: 5x8-hour shifts (6:30 AM – 3:00 PM); a 4x10-hour day schedule may also be possible
-
On-call required — variable call on weekends and nights, approximately 8 shifts per month
-
Every 3rd or 4th weekend required depending on rotation and time-off requests

Floating between units per department needs is required

EMR: Epic (experience required)

No parking fees

Active MT or compact RN license required
-
Minimum 2 years of perioperative RN experience required

Epic EMR experience required

At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty or setting

Full SSN and DOB required for consideration

Active professional license at time of consideration

First-time travelers are welcome to apply

Nurses are expected to float between all facilities within the state; refusal to float may result in termination of the assignment

Former permanent employees of the facility must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility

Previous work at any Providence facility (permanent, travel, or per-diem) must be disclosed, including location and dates
-
Scrubs in any color are acceptable; OR scrubs are provided by the facility

Minimal RTO is preferred for this position
