Full-Time Live-Out Nanny – Oxford, CT
A warm and family-oriented household in Oxford, Connecticut is seeking a reliable, experienced, and engaging full-time nanny to care for their two young children. The family is looking for someone who can become a dependable, long-term presence in their home and who enjoys creating a thoughtful balance of developmental play, outdoor exploration, practical life skills, and age-appropriate independence.
The family follows a Montessori-inspired approach and values involving the children in everyday activities and simple household routines when developmentally appropriate. They are seeking someone who is proactive, organized, and genuinely enjoys supporting children through the important developmental stages of infancy and toddlerhood.
Schedule
Monday through Friday
8:45 AM – 3:45 PM
7 hours per day
Approximately 35 hours per week
Occasional weekend or date-night availability is a plus.

Compensation
$27–$30 per hour, depending on experience
Mileage reimbursement provided for use of the nanny’s personal vehicle while working.

Responsibilities
- Providing complete, attentive care for both children throughout the day, including feeding, diapering, dressing, hygiene, naps, transitions, play, and daily routines
- Managing the children’s schedules and maintaining consistent routines appropriate to their individual ages, needs, and developmental stages
- Preparing and serving age-appropriate meals, snacks, bottles, and other feeding needs while carefully following the family’s soy-free and dairy-free dietary requirements
- Cleaning and sanitizing bottles, feeding supplies, high chairs, and other child-related items
- Supporting infant and toddler developmental milestones through age-appropriate play, reading, sensory activities, movement, language development, and hands-on learning
- Supporting the family’s early potty-learning and partial potty-training routine with the 10-month-old
- Encouraging Montessori-inspired independence by involving the children in developmentally appropriate practical life activities, simple chores, and everyday routines
- Planning engaging indoor and outdoor activities, including walks, backyard play, age-appropriate outings, and opportunities for exploration
- Creating thoughtful indoor activities, crafts, sensory play, and developmental learning opportunities during inclement weather
- Supporting healthy sleep habits and managing nap routines for both children
- Providing attentive supervision while encouraging safe exploration, independence, and healthy social and emotional development
- Completing the children’s laundry, including washing, folding, and putting away clothing and linens
- Maintaining and organizing the children’s bedrooms, playroom, toys, books, clothing, supplies, and other child-related areas
- Regularly tidying, cleaning, and sanitizing toys, play surfaces, and spaces used by the children
- Keeping diapering, feeding, clothing, and activity supplies organized and communicating with the parents when child-related household items are running low
- Helping maintain an organized, clean, and functional environment centered around the children’s daily needs
Dietary Considerations
Both children have dietary allergies to soy and dairy. These are dietary allergy restrictions and do not currently require an EpiPen.
The household also follows a soy-free and dairy-free diet, so the nanny should be comfortable carefully following the family’s dietary requirements and checking ingredients when preparing or serving food.

- English fluency
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional nanny or childcare experience
- CPR / First Aid certification for infants and children required
- Reliable personal vehicle and valid driver’s license
