We are a leading custom architectural millwork manufacturer seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to support the successful execution of high-end commercial millwork projects. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in project management within the architectural woodworking and casework industry.
Position Summary
The Assistant Project Manager works closely with Project Managers, Engineering, Production, Purchasing and Field Installation teams to help ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
· Assist Project Managers with planning, coordinating, and tracking multiple architectural millwork projects.
· Review architectural drawings, specifications, and shop drawings.
· Prepare and process submittals, RFI’s, change orders, and project documentation.
· Coordinate material procurement and communicates with vendors and suppliers.
· Monitor project schedules and assist in maintaining production timelines.
· Communicate with customers, general contractors, architects, and internal departments throughout the project life cycle.
· Track project costs, budgets, and progress reports.
· Support scheduling of deliveries and field installations.
· Maintain accurate project files and documentation.
· Assist in resolving project issues to keep projects moving efficiently.
Qualifications
· Experience in construction, architectural millwork, woodworking, cabinetry, or commercial interiors preferred.
· Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Business or a related field is preferred but not required.
· Strong organizational and time-management skills.
· Ability to read architectural and construction drawings helpful.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
· Self-motivated with strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
· Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a collaborative team environment.
