Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our dynamic healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and health histories to determine individual care needs.
- Administer medications and injections accurately, including IV infusions and medication management, following strict aseptic techniques and HIPAA regulations if needed
- Operate and document using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Therap Services to ensure precise medical documentation and compliance with healthcare standards.
- Assist with diagnostic procedures such as catheterizations, suturing, laboratory specimen collection, and imaging procedures like sonography or mammography, wound care, when applicable.
- Provide specialized care for patients with complex conditions including trauma, infectious diseases, geriatrics, pediatrics, behavioral health issues, hospice & palliative medicine, or those requiring intensive critical care such as ICU or Level I Trauma Center experience.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for diverse patient populations.
- Educate patients and their families on health management strategies including nutrition, medication administration, wound care (ostomy care), and chronic disease management like diabetes or cardiac conditions.
Qualifications
- Valid RN license in good standing with current state registration.
- Proven experience in acute care settings such as hospital medicine, ICU, emergency room, or trauma centers.
- Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems.
- Experience working with diverse patient populations including pediatrics, geriatrics (memory care & long-term care), individuals with disabilities or developmental delays.
- Skilled in performing invasive procedures such as IV insertions, venipuncture (phlebotomy), tube feeding management, airway management (ventilators), and sterile processing techniques.
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations with critical thinking skills in emergency medicine or Level I/II trauma centers.
- Excellent communication skills for patient education and interdisciplinary collaboration; commitment to maintaining HIPAA compliance and medical documentation accuracy.
