Job Summary:
Reporting directly to the Corporate Donation and Logistics Manager, this position is responsible for operating a Habitat for Humanity MidOhio box truck to pick up, transport, load, and unload donated items throughout the Affiliate’s service area, including Franklin, Madison, and Licking counties.
The position supports the daily operations of donation pickup and delivery services while assisting with ReStore operations and other operational duties as assigned. This role serves as a representative of Habitat for Humanity MidOhio and is responsible for developing positive relationships with donors, customers, and community partners through professional and effective communication and customer service.
Drivers are expected to support assigned routes based on operational needs and report to designated work locations under the direction of ReStore leadership.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following; other duties may be assigned.
1. Safely operate a Habitat for Humanity MidOhio box truck with lift gate for donation pickups and deliveries.
2. Load, unload, secure, and transport donated furniture, appliances, and household items.
3. Provide courteous, professional, and positive customer service to donors, customers, and community partners.
4. Communicate effectively with ReStore leadership regarding route schedules, pickups, deliveries, and operational needs.
5. Support donation pickup routes throughout Habitat MidOhio’s service area, including Franklin, Madison, and Licking counties.
6. Assist with general ReStore operations, warehouse support, and other operational duties as assigned.
7. Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of assigned vehicles and equipment.
8. Follow all safety procedures, driving regulations, and organizational policies.
9. Report to designated work locations and support operational needs as directed by ReStore leadership.

Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience operating a box truck with lift gate required.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required.
- Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is not required.
- Ability to frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, climb, and enter/exit vehicles throughout the workday.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions.
- Strong work ethic, dependability, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate toward common goals and objectives.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including some evenings, weekends, overtime, and flexible hours as operational needs require.

Work Schedule:
Regular work hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 8:45 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Occasional evening, overtime, and flexible scheduling hours may be required based on operational needs and supervisor approval.

Work Environment and Physical Demands:
This position requires regular physical activity including lifting, carrying, loading, unloading, pushing, and moving donated items throughout the workday. Team members may work indoors and outdoors and may be exposed to varying weather conditions while performing donation pickup and operational responsibilities.
