Duties
- Act as the main liaison for dental insurance companies, verifying patient coverage and benefits
- Submit and follow up on insurance claims promptly to ensure timely reimbursements
- Review insurance policies to determine coverage limits, exclusions, and pre-authorizations
- Educate patients about their dental insurance plans, including co-pays, deductibles, and coverage details
- Resolve claim discrepancies or denials by collaborating with insurance providers and patients
- Maintain accurate records of all insurance transactions and correspondence in the practice management system
- Assist with billing processes by preparing necessary documentation for accurate invoicing
Requirements
- Proven experience in dental or healthcare insurance billing and claims processing
- Strong knowledge of dental insurance plans, coding, and reimbursement procedures
- Excellent communication skills to explain complex insurance information clearly to patients
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple claims efficiently
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with team members
- Proficiency in dental practice management software and Microsoft Office Suite
