Natural Lands, a vibrant, regional, non-profit organization and leader in land conservation, natural resource stewardship, and public engagement, seeks a Development Donor Events Intern to join our team at our headquarters on the Hildacy Preserve in Media, Pennsylvania.
Since the early 1950s, Natural Lands has saved open space, cared for nature, and connected people to the outdoors in eastern Pennsylvania and southern New Jersey. Today, the organization is one of the nation’s largest regional land conservancies and is widely respected for its record of success, technical expertise, respectful and creative approach to partnerships, fiscal strength, and integrity.
Over the course of its nearly 70-year history, Natural Lands has helped preserve more than 135,000 acres including a network of over 40 nature preserves and one public garden across two states and 13 counties. These properties total 23,000 acres and include many of the most spectacular and diverse properties in the region, which are enjoyed by more than 300,000 visitors annually.

Job Summary
The Development Event Intern will work with the Senior Director of Donor Relations to assist in executing events from start to finish. The intern will participate in planning donor events that assist with engagement of existing donors and building a pipeline for new donors.
The internship, which will pay a competitive salary, will run from September 2026 through December 2026, and require an average of 20 hours per week. Some weekend or evening event support may be required. Hours will be flexible based on the intern’s availability and class schedule (if applicable). The person who fills this role is required to work at the Development Department’s scheduled events.
Primary Responsibilities

Provide support with various projects related to event production

Track and manage data related to donor events
-
Assist events team with data maintenance and reporting

Prepare, organize, and mail invitations
-
Pre-event functions such as preparing name tags, place cards and other event
materials -
Set-up and strike events
-
Assist with organizing volunteers

Collect items off-site (run errands)
-
Organize craft projects
-
Assist in maintaining budgets
-
Be a frontline representative of the organization and offer excellent customer service

Create registration lists
-
Attend meetings with vendors

Creative, organized with consideration of an eco-friendly focus

Highly motivated, responsible, reliable, and dependable

Capable of performing a wide variety of physically demanding tasks

Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and a good driving record

Computer savvy and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel

Customer service attitude and comfortable working with the public

Able to maintain confidentiality when dealing with information of a sensitive nature
