The Primary Press Operator assists with die installation and machine setup, loads and threads coils through the press equipment, and operates press, feeder, and related equipment during production.
Job Duties:

Assist Die Setter in the installation and setup of dies.

Load coils onto reel in proper position determined by size.

With assistance of Die Setter, thread coil through Straightener, Feeder, and Press and into
-
die insuring proper alignment.

Assist Die Setter in setup of Straightener, Feeder, and Press according to guidelines in
-
die manual.
-
During operation, operate and understand all controls of the press and feeder consoles.

Determine source of faults presented by computers, take necessary steps to clear faults,
-
and reset computers.
-
Produce stampings insuring quality and conformance to specifications through continual inspection.
-
Remove tailings from work area to scrap hopper as needed.
-
Empty slug hoppers as necessary.

Safely operate the overhead crane and forklift.

Place empty bins to press and remover full bins from press to their proper place in the

parts storage area.
-
Write inventory tickets with part number and quantity for each bin.

Follow all safety rules and promote safety
-
Conform to all company policies.
-
Maintain a clean and orderly workplace.
-
Perform other duties as required by management.
Requirements:
Mechanically inclined Basic math skills
Attendance Incentive Pay Rate: $1.37 hr
