Beverage Depot Spirits is a family-owned liquor
retailer serving the Huntsville community. We pride
ourselves on providing a welcoming shopping
experience, a diverse selection of wine, spirits, and

About the Role
This is a cross-functional retail position.
Our Retail Sales Associates are not assigned to only one area of
the store.
During a shift, you may assist customers, operate the
register, pick and prepare customer orders, receive
and organize inventory, stock shelves, build and
maintain product displays, and help keep the store
clean, organized, and ready for customers.
We are looking for team members who are
comfortable staying engaged throughout their shift
and who can recognize what needs to be done
without always waiting to be given their next task.

What You'll Do
- Deliver friendly, attentive customer service by
greeting customers, answering questions, and
assisting with product selection.
- Operate the point-of-sale system and accurately
process cash, credit card, and other transactions.
- Verify identification and follow all applicable
Alabama laws and company policies related to
the sale of alcoholic beverages.
- Accurately and efficiently fulfill customer orders.
Receive, organize, and stock merchandise
throughout the store.
- Maintain full, clean, and organized shelves and
product displays.
- Assist with inventory-related tasks and
communicate product or stocking concerns to
management.
- Maintain a clean and organized store, including
sales floors, registers, work areas, and other
assigned areas.
- Stay informed about store promotions, featured
products, and new items.
- Build product knowledge in wine, spirits, and beer
and use that knowledge to better assist
customers.
- Respond to customer questions and concerns
professionally and request management
assistance when necessary.
- Work collaboratively with other team members to
complete daily store responsibilities.
- Take initiative to identify and complete necessary
tasks without constant supervision.
- Perform other cross-functional store
responsibilities as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- High school diploma or GED required; one or more
years of experience in retail, bartending,
hospitality, or the wine/spirits industry strongly
preferred.
- Friendly, confident, and comfortable engaging
with customers.
- Strong verbal communication and interpersonal
skills.
- Dependable and able to maintain scheduling
commitments.
- Organized and attentive to detail.
- Able to follow established procedures and
management direction.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Able to prioritize tasks and remain productive in a
fast-paced retail environment.
- Comfortable using point-of-sale systems and
other workplace technology.
- Willing to learn and continually develop
knowledge of wine, spirits, beer, and store
products.
- Able to recognize what needs to be done and take
appropriate initiative without constant
supervision.
- Demonstrates integrity, professionalism, and good
judgment.
Physical Requirements
This is an active retail position.
Team members must be able to:
- Remain on their feet for extended periods during a
shift.
- Frequently walk, bend, stoop, reach, and move
throughout the store.
- Safely lift and move boxes and cases weighing up
to 50 pounds.
- Stock merchandise at varying shelf heights.
- Safely use ladders or step stools when required.
- Perform repetitive stocking and inventory-related
tasks.

Schedule & Availability
Applicants must have flexibility to work a combination
of weekday, evening, and weekend shifts based on
store needs. Reliable attendance and the ability to
maintain scheduling commitments are essential to
this role.
