Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Sheet Metal Estimator to join our team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for accurately assessing project requirements, preparing cost estimates, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution. Your expertise will directly influence project profitability and customer satisfaction by delivering precise and competitive bids. Duties
- Analyze project blueprints, specifications, and technical drawings to determine material quantities and scope of work for sheet metal fabrication projects
- Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine labor needs, costs, scope of work, and material requirements for a project.
- Review project documents and specifications thoroughly.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure accurate bid preparation.
- Prepare comprehensive bid proposals that include labor, materials, equipment costs, and profit margins while maintaining transparency and accuracy
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends in manufacturing, supply chain management to improve estimation processes.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing project data to identify cost-saving opportunities within the supply chain and production processes
- Maintain organized project and estimating documentation.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Sheet Metal Estimator or in a similar manufacturing estimating role
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings
- Experience in manufacturing or production planning environments with exposure to forecasting methods and demand analysis
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and project requirements accurately
- Strong attention to detail. Effective communication, and organization skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel & Word)
- Ability to manage multiple projects, and deadlines effectively.
Pay: $52,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
