We are seeking a skilled PD Facilitator to lead and support teachers in professional learning related to the Districts Strategic Plan. This role involves guiding educators through structured study materials, facilitating discussions, and promoting best practices in teaching and learning. The ideal candidate will have experience in adult learning, professional development, and instructional strategies to help educators enhance their knowledge and effectiveness in the classroom. Target audience may be particular content area teachers, grade levels, and/or grade bands.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Facilitate study groups and discussions on professional learning materials, including books, research articles, and instructional resources.Guide educators in applying new strategies, theories, and best practices in their classrooms.Develop structured study plans and discussion prompts to deepen understanding and engagement.Encourage reflective practice and foster a collaborative learning environment.Support teachers in setting professional learning goals and tracking progress.Provide feedback on work products to educators as they implement new learning.Stay informed on current trends in education, pedagogy, and professional development.Collaborate with school leaders and professional learning teams to align meeting sessions with institutional goals.QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS: Bachelors or Masters degree in Education, Instructional Leadership, or a related field.Experience in teaching, instructional coaching, or professional development facilitation.Strong understanding of adult learning principles and professional learning communities (PLCs).Excellent facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills.Ability to guide meaningful discussions and encourage reflective practice.Skilled in using various learning modalities, including in-person, virtual, and blended formats.Passion for educator growth and continuous improvement.REPORTS TO: Director of Curriculum and Instruction TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: In-District PD Facilitator will facilitate professional learning workshops and series (format and number of sessions may vary - based on content).SALARY: $35/hour for planning. Total number of hours to be determined, based on the length and complexity of the learning sessions. This will be established with the Director of Curriculum and Instruction beforehand.STARTING DATE: August 1, 2026
