The EDD Workforce Services Branch (WSB) is seeking candidates to apply for an Analyst in the Branch Personnel Liaison Unit within the Deputy Director's Office. Working as an Analyst, you'll utilize your "people" skills and help your fellow coworkers thrive. You'll take initiative to solve or prevent personnel-related problems and implement creative solutions. You'll provide excellent customer service to staff, managers, and executives. You'll leverage your curiosity and dig into WSB's personnel data for a more efficient workforce, and communicate your recommendations. You'll work with EDD's Human Resources to ensure we are adhering to personnel policy and procedures and share that knowledge statewide. You'll have energetic, knowledgeable and supportive team members and management to help you succeed. You'll make a difference to support the people who support Californians in getting back to work.
Under direction of the Branch Personnel Liaison Unit Manager, you'll provide personnel support to 1100+ people statewide in over 60 offices on Hiring, Classification, and Pay/Benefits transactions, personnel database maintenance, position oversight, create a variety of personnel reports, and more! This is an established position with processes, procedures, and knowledgeable leadership all ready to go, but there will be opportunity to put your "stamp" on your work. You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment, and the primary customer of your work is our leadership team of 204 Branch Leaders.

The incumbent works in an office setting located at 1416 9th Street, Sacramento, CA 95814, that is air conditioned and located in a high-rise building with elevator access. The work is performed in a cubicle or office with natural and artificial lighting. The position is eligible for a hybrid telework schedule, with employees working remotely an average of three (3) days per week, based on operational needs and management approval. The position requires prolonged periods of sitting, frequent use of a computer and telephone, and occasional standing, walking, bending, and lifting of files or materials weighing up to 20 pounds.
