Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their visit.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems POS.
- Serve food and drinks promptly, maintaining presentation standards for fine dining or casual settings.
- Process sales transactions efficiently, including cash handling and credit card payments.
- Upsell menu items such as specialty cocktails, wines, or desserts to enhance guest experience and increase sales.
- Assist with food handling, sanitation, and proper food safety practices to ensure guest safety.
- Support beverage service by preparing and serving cocktails, spirits, wine, and other drinks with knowledge of drink recipes.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and address any guest needs or special requests.
- Maintain cleanliness of tables, stations, and service areas; bus tables as needed to keep the dining space inviting.
- Use reservation systems like OpenTable to manage guest seating efficiently and improve overall flow.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in food service or hospitality is highly preferred;
- Familiarity with POS systems for processing sales transactions.
- Strong customer service skills with an approachable attitude
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper sanitation procedures in the restaurant industry.
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately while maintaining professionalism during busy hours.
- Basic math skills for order calculations, billing, and change management.
- Experience with beverage service including spirits, wine knowledge, cocktail preparation, and upselling techniques.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
