This role plays a key part in driving company growth through precise cost analysis, relationship building, and smart estimating strategies. If you’re detail-oriented, analytical, and enjoy collaborating with both customers and project teams, this is the opportunity for you.
What You’ll Do

Research and identify bid opportunities through public postings, industry networks, and customer relationships.

Analyze plans, specifications, and requirements to prepare accurate cost estimates for labor, materials, and equipment.

Prepare and submit detailed, competitive construction bids and proposals within deadlines.

Collaborate with Project Managers, Superintendents, and subcontractors to confirm accuracy and constructability.

Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, and subcontractors to improve win rates and ensure clear communication.

Negotiate pricing, terms, and scope to ensure profitable, successful projects.

Track and analyze bid performance, identifying areas for process improvement and increased efficiency.

Stay current on industry trends, market pricing, and construction methods to maintain competitive and accurate estimates.
What You’ll Bring

5+ years of estimating experience, preferably in commercial or agricultural construction or general contracting.

Strong understanding of construction processes, means, and methods.

Proven ability to identify, pursue, and win bid opportunities.

High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Ability to manage multiple bids under tight deadlines.

Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as needed.
