Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Therapist with expertise in alcohol and drug counseling to join our dynamic behavioral health team. The ideal candidate will hold a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) credential and/or be a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC), committed to providing exceptional clinical care to individuals struggling with substance use and co-occurring mental health conditions. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough intake assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and patient assessments to determine treatment needs.
- Develop individualized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based practices such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, and behavioral therapy.
- Provide individual, group, and family counseling sessions focused on addiction recovery, mental health stabilization, and relapse prevention.
- Implement crisis intervention strategies to manage acute behavioral health crises effectively while ensuring patient safety.
- Facilitate home visits and community outreach efforts to support clients in their natural environments, promoting continuity of care.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations, including progress notes, treatment plans, and medical records using appropriate ICD coding standards (ICD-10/ICD-9).
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including social workers, medical professionals, and case managers to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
Requirements
- Valid certification as a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) or licensure as a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC).
- Proven experience in addiction counseling, clinical counseling, or behavioral health settings.
- Strong knowledge of psychotherapy techniques such as motivational interviewing, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), applied behavior analysis, and crisis management.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, mental health diagnoses (ICD coding), and medical documentation standards.
- Experience working with diverse populations including children & families, hospital patients, or community-based clients is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to conduct intake assessments and facilitate group therapy sessions effectively.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
