Business Development & Operations Intern
Reports To
Founder &Executive Director
Purpose
The Business Development & Operations Intern will work directly with the founder to help launch and grow multiple mission-driven ventures, including The Village Child & Family Development Center, The Village at Home, and Desert SEEDS Consulting. This internship is designed for someone interested in entrepreneurship, nonprofit leadership, strategy, and social enterprise.
Responsibilities
Strategic Planning
- Assist with implementation of strategic plan
- Research market trends
- Conduct competitor analysis
- Track strategic goals
Business Development
- Research partnership opportunities
- Identify grant opportunities
- Help prepare presentations
- Assist with sponsorship outreach
Financial Support
- Assist with budget tracking
- Organize financial documents
- Prepare simple reports
- Track startup expenses
Operations
- Develop systems and workflows
- Document standard operating procedures
- Improve organizational efficiency
- Support launch projects
Research
- Child care industry trends
- Educational best practices
- Business resources
- Funding opportunities
- Technology solutions
Special Projects
Projects will vary based on organizational priorities and may include:
