Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Childcare Provider to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a strong understanding of childhood development. This role involves providing a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for children of various ages, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. The Childcare Provider will engage in activities that promote learning and development while ensuring the well-being of each child.
Duties
- Supervise and ensure the safety of children at all times.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that encourage learning and development.
- Provide care for infants and toddlers, including feeding, diaper changing, and comforting.
- Assist with behavior management strategies to promote positive interactions among children.
- Support children with disabilities by adapting activities to meet their individual needs.
- Maintain a clean and organized environment conducive to play and learning.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns.
- Foster social skills through group activities and cooperative play.
- Document daily activities and milestones in each child's development.
Requirements
- Experience working with children in various settings such as daycare, preschool, or as a nanny.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childhood development milestones.
- First aid certification is preferred; willingness to obtain certification if not currently held.
- Strong skills in teaching, caregiving, and behavior management.
- Experience with toddlers and infants is highly desirable.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other caregivers and staff members.
- Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills are essential for this role.
