Ministry Description
Position Overview
The Advancement Associate plays an important role in building meaningful connections within the Faith Lutheran community. This position helps create welcoming experiences that inspire generosity, celebrate our supporters, and strengthen relationships with alumni, parents, grandparents, faculty, friends, and benefactors.
Working collaboratively with the Advancement team, the Advancement Associate supports donor engagement, stewardship initiatives, community outreach, Advancement events, and daily operations that further the mission of Faith Lutheran.
Essential Characteristics
- Active Christian and local church member
- Demonstrates a heart for Jesus Christ: “I resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified.” I Corinthians 2:2
- Demonstrates personal character: “In everything, set them an example by doing what is good. In your teaching show integrity, seriousness and soundness of speech…” Titus 2:7-8
- Demonstrates passion for excellence worthy of Christ: Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord…” Colossians 3:23
- Exemplifies a Christ-like attitude in both written and verbal communication
- Approachable, with an appropriate balance of high expectations, patience, and mentorship
- A team-player who is willing to listen to the ideas, concerns, and solutions of others
- Knowledgeable and competent in areas of safe school culture necessary to support school’s mission
