The Chapel Hill- Chauncy Hall Theatre Program is seeking a part-time/contracted Technical Theatre Director for its upcoming theatre production. CHCH seeks a Technical Theatre Director who will work collaboratively with the Director, Assistant Director, and an Assistant Technical Director.
Successful candidates for this position will have:
- A creative and collaborative mindset
- Willingness to work hard and have fun
- Experience with Technical Theater including set construction, lighting, and/or costume construction
- Experience managing a rehearsal setting/ strike with high school students
Dates required: Rehearsals are typically 5 days a week from approximately 3pm-5pm beginning on September 10th, 2026 and running through November 9th, 2026 with additional rehearsals closer to the production. Pre and post production meetings as needed. Production runs November 5th-7th, 2026. This position comes with a stipend of $5000.
