Position Summary:
The Industrial Lead Foreman is responsible for directing and supervising daily industrial operations while actively participating in field activities. This position provides technical leadership, workforce coordination, safety oversight, quality control, and productivity management to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and according to company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise crews in industrial construction and maintenance.
- Assign daily work activities and ensure proper staffing for projects and work orders.
- Provide technical guidance, training, and mentorship to team members.
- Monitor work quality and ensure compliance with specifications, procedures, and industry standards.
- Enforce company safety policies and conduct jobsite safety meetings and inspections.
- Troubleshoot operational and equipment issues and implement corrective actions.
- Communicate project status, manpower needs, and operational concerns to management.
- Ensure compliance with environmental, regulatory, and company requirements.
- Perform skilled hands-on work to support crew productivity and project completion.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
- 5+ years of industrial experience with progressive leadership responsibilities.
- Demonstrated ability to lead crews in industrial, maintenance, or construction environments.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations, work planning, and industrial processes.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and work procedures.
- Journeyman-level experience as an Ironworker and Structural Steel Fabricator required.
- Proven experience in structural steel fabrication, welding coordination, steel erection, rigging, and industrial construction practices.
- Must obtain DBIDS badge with in the first 90 days.
Preferred Skills:
- OSHA certification or equivalent safety training.
- Equipment operation or trade-specific certifications.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and conflict-resolution abilities.
- NCCER Ironworker certification or equivalent trade certification.
- Experience supervising ironworkers, fabricators, welders, and field installation crews.
- Forklift, aerial lift, crane signaling, rigging, or equipment operation certifications.
- Space Industry experience is a plus.
Reporting Relationship:
Reports to the Project Manager and provides direct leadership and supervision to assigned personnel.
