The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation is hiring a Park and Recreation Aide for North/South Lake Campground in Haines Falls, New York. This is a part-time seasonal position that runs through October 2026. Shifts will be scheduled for weekend evenings and nights. Specific job duties include: assisting customers at front booth and answering guest inquiries.
North/South Lake is the busiest DEC campground in New York State. It is a fast-paced and high energy environment so strong multi-tasking and customer service skills are a must. Successful candidates will have a positive attitude and desire to be part of a hard-working team.
Minimum Qualifications: Candidates must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must have dependable transportation and be able to work assigned shifts.
- Should expect to work all weekends and holidays during period of employment.
- Must be able to communicate with others and accept direction.
- Must be well groomed and wear appropriate attire. Uniforms provided must be kept clean and worn while on duty.
- Must be even tempered and capable of communicating with the public. Provide patrons with information regarding park facilities and use.
- Must be able to handle and account for money and use a computer.
Pay: $19.04 per hour
