Job Duties
- Responsible for start up of ecoat process lines
- Tests all chemical and paint tanks for concentration
- Inspects and monitors all ecoat processes prior and during operations
- Troubleshoots system for any issues related to quality concerns
- Maintains sufficient chemical on site for continuous operations
- Reviews and maintains current reagents, glassware, and other laboratory needs
- Performs physical testing on production parts daily
- Documents all process data in real time in a concise and legible method
- Communicates issues of concern regarding product integrity or quality to management in real time
- Takes initiative in areas of process control, process improvement, or mechanics of the paint processes
- Assists with wastewater and tank crew duties
- Discusses all regular and unusual tank crew operations with plant manager
- Ensures all safety protocols are followed
- Monitors and maintains safety materials near each ecoat line for cases of emergency or need
- Housekeeping and cleaning of lab, catwalks and surrounding areas of ecoat lines
- Monitors and replaces ecoat filter bags as indicated by daily checks
- Tracks inventory for the lab and wastewater materials and submits orders to the office
- Assists in operating the waste water system by ensuring the ferric acid chloride and polymer tanks are filled and charged as specified, waste stream valves are positioned correctly, and the effluent is clear and its pH is within permit limits
Experience Requirements
- Wastewater experience is not required but is highly preferred.
