Duties

- Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring all special requests are noted clearly.
- Serve food and beverages promptly and professionally, maintaining high standards of presentation and food safety.
- Upsell menu items by suggesting complementary dishes or drinks to maximize guest satisfaction and sales.
- Handle cash transactions accurately through POS systems and manage cash handling responsibilities with integrity.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables efficiently, resetting tables quickly for new guests, and adhering to food safety protocols.
- Assist with food preparation or kitchen support when needed to ensure smooth service flow during busy hours.
- Manage guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly, ensuring every guest leaves satisfied.
- Support sanitation practices by following proper food handling procedures and maintaining a clean work environment.
- Collaborate with team members including hosts/hostesses and kitchen staff to deliver seamless service experiences.
- Utilize reservation platforms like OpenTable for managing bookings and optimizing seating arrangements during peak times.
Experience
- Previous restaurant or food service experience is highly preferred, especially in fine dining or upscale environments.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS enhances efficiency in order processing.
- Experience with culinary settings or food industry roles demonstrates your understanding of food handling and safety standards.
- Strong customer service skills are essential; previous host/host or serving experience is advantageous for creating welcoming guest interactions.
- Ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts ensures prompt service delivery without compromising quality.
