Join our dynamic team as a Class A Over-the-Road (OTR) Truck Driver and take charge of delivering freight across long-distance routes with precision and professionalism. Duties
- Safely operate tractor-trailers across OTR routes, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and specialized equipment for hazardous or dangerous goods.
- Plan routes using GPS navigation systems to optimize delivery times and fuel efficiency while complying with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards.
- No Touch Freight 100%
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery documentation, and inspection reports in compliance with FMCSA and hazardous materials regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety, including checking brakes, tires, lights, and securing loads according to safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate deliveries, provide updates on estimated arrival times, and resolve any route or delivery issues promptly.
- Adhere strictly to safety standards related to hazardous materials regulations when transporting dangerous goods or hazardous substances.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with clean driving record.
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including route driving over long distances across various terrains.
- Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbed trucks, tanker trucks, and handling hazardous materials (Hazmat).
- Proficiency in GPS navigation systems and route planning software.
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT standards, hazard materials regulations, and safety procedures for manual handling and truck loading/unloading.
- Ability to operate manual transmission trucks confidently; experience with forklift operation is a plus.
- Strong understanding of logistics cargo handling processes for freight transportation across diverse industries such as automobile transportation or dump trucks.
