EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
This position supports inmate learning through classroom instruction and supervised work experience in the vocational field of barbering. The role ensures safe, organized operations and maintains training standards. As a Corrections Licensed Barber Manager, you will perform the following duties:

Training and Instruction: Provide classroom and hands-on guidance in barbering practices, methods, and techniques

Classroom Management: Maintain order and discipline during instruction and work assignments

Program Administration: Plan, develop, and manage the barber training program in accordance with state guidelines

Licensing Support: Arrange testing opportunities for eligible inmates through the State Board of Barber Examiners

Supply Management: Determine needed tools and supplies and submit purchase requests

Tool Accountability: Issue, inventory, and account for all materials and tools, as well as conduct searches to ensure proper control

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment, 40 hours per week

Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday.

This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55.
