34th Street Partnership Outdoor Visitor Services Representative: Part-time position available with 34th Street Partnership Visitor Services Department. This is a great part-time employment opportunity for people who like to work outside and share their knowledge of the city with others.
Duties:
- Work outdoors at mobile visitor information carts and reading room carts
- Provide printed materials about New York City's cultural, educational and historic landmarks and attractions to visitors and tourists
- Provide information about the various NYC locations and events
- Attend and keep clean an outdoor reading room
- Must enjoy working with people
Qualified Candidate:
- Fluent in English plus one other language
- Possess an excellent knowledge of New York City/metro area tourist attractions, cultural institutions plus knowledge of public transportation systems; MTA, PATH, LIRR, NJTRANSIT.
- Able to work outdoors in a public setting
- Excellent customer service skills
- Able to lift 25lb boxes
- Must have a working phone throughout employment
Days Needed: Must be able to work 2 days minimum and 4 days maximum
Hours: We operate 365 days a year; 9:30 a.m. to 4:30pm & 10am-5:15pm depending on the shift
