Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Driver to join our team. As a Newspaper Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for transporting our publication various distributors & locations. This is a vital role in our organization, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of products to our customers. Maintaining and nurturing established business relationships with our distributors is extremely important while also cultivating new relationships with potential customers. Excellent customer service is a must. Light maintenence skills required for general upkeep of our racks.
Duties:
- Safely operate commercial vehicle and promptly report mainenance needs to managment
- Load and unload newspapers from the vehicle
- Follow assigned routes and schedules for timely deliveries
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption
- Communicate with managment regarding any delays or issues that may arise during deliveries
- Provide excellent customer service by ensuring prompt and professional interactions with Distributors
Requirements:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Commercial driving experience preferred
- Ability to perform light maintenence of newspaper racks
- Ability to operate a forklift is a plus
- Ability to lift heavy objects and load/unload newspapers as required
- Excellent time management skills to ensure on-time deliveries
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and managment
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to work evenings or overnight as needed
Note: All positions must be paid, including internship positions.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 5 – 14 per week
