Tasting Room Attendant – Part Time
Silvestri Vineyards is looking for a sales associate for our tasting room in Carmel-by-the-Sea. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in hospitality and sales. We are looking for someone who is articulate, neat in appearance, personable, responsible and organized.
Responsibilities, Qualities and Abilities:
- Provide a high level of customer service
- Create a fun and engaging atmosphere for our customers to enjoy and learn about our wines and the story of our winery
- Develop ongoing relationships with guests to generate future sales and wine club signups
- Represent winery at local tasting events and winery industry functions
- Strong communication skills and ability to take directives from management
- Run daily operation of the tasting room including:
- Opening and closing procedures
- Sales transactions and accurate money management
- Inventory
- Restocking
- Cleaning, organization and general tidiness
- Customer account management
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 21 years of age;
- Experience in a related field/role is preferred;
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time;
- Must be able to lift, move and carry cases of wine up to 45 pounds;
- Must be a team player and be able to consistently maintain enthusiasm, project a positive attitude and professional image at all times;
- Must be able to effectively communicate via email and text messaging;
- Must have ongoing experience with all Apple computing products including iOS devices (iPhone, iPad) and Macintosh Computers, operating systems and apps;
Position will be part-time with emphasis on weekends. Working hours can typically be anywhere between 11:30am and 7:00pm.
