Position Overview
A high-profile New York City law firm is seeking a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to serve as a strategic partner to the CEO/Owner and oversee the firm’s day-to-day operations, performance, and growth.
The COO will be responsible for driving execution across all departments, enforcing accountability through KPI management, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring the firm operates at a high level.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner directly with the CEO/Owner on operations, strategy, and growth initiatives
- Oversee firm operations, workflows, systems, and departmental performance
- Develop and enforce KPI-driven management systems across the firm
- Conduct audits and spot checks to ensure policies and procedures are followed
- Identify inefficiencies, reduce unnecessary expenses, and improve profitability
- Build and improve operational systems, processes, and reporting structures
- Lead cross-functional projects and support organizational development
- Help maintain a professional, accountable, and high-performance culture
Qualifications
- 10+ years of senior operations or management experience
- Strong background in KPI analysis, systems management, and operational oversight
- Proven ability to lead teams and manage cross-functional operations
- Strong organizational, analytical, and leadership skills
- Law firm or professional services experience preferred
- Plaintiff personal injury experience is a plus
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $165,000 – $225,000, based on experience
